Use of was/were Negative

Memorable Points :

1. I, he, she, it, this, that तथा अन्य Singular subjects के साथ was का प्रयोग होता है.

2. We, you, they, these, those तथा अन्य plural pronouns के साथ were का प्रयोग होता है.

3. Negative sentences बनाने के लिए was/ were के बाद ‘not’ का प्रयोग होता है.

Rule :- Subject + Is/Am/Are + Not + Noun/Adjective/Pronoun

Example :-

1. This was not fan. ( यह पंखा नही था।)
2. This was not Coolar. (यह कूलर नहीं था।)
3. This was not car. (यह कार नहीं थी।)
4. This was not cycle. (यह साइकिल नहीं थी।)
5. This was not book. (यह किताब नही थी।)
6. This was not clothes. (यह कपडा नहीं था।)
7. This was not chair. (यह कुर्सी नहीं थी।)
8. This was not tabke. (यह मेज नहीं थी।)
9. This was not sleeper. (यह चप्पल नहीं थी।)
10. This was not home. (यह घर नहीं था।)
11.  I was not engineer. (मैं इंजीनियर नहीं था।)
