Interrogative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

Memorable Points :

1. I, he, she, it, this, that तथा अन्य Singular subjects के साथ was का प्रयोग होता है.

2. We, you, they, these, those तथा अन्य plural pronouns के साथ were का प्रयोग होता है.

Rule :- W.H.O. + was/were + Sub + Noun/Adjective/Pronoun

Example :-

Where was the fan. (पंखा कहाँ था। )
Where was the coolar. ( कूलर कहाँ था।)
Where was the car. ( कार कहाँ थी।)
How was this book. ( यह कैसी किताब थी।)
How was this cloth. (यह कैसे कपडा था।)
How was this chair. (यह कैसी कुर्सी थी।)
Where was a table. ( एक मेज कहाँ थी।)
Where was that sleeper. (वह चप्पल कहाँ थी।)
Where was parents of Ram. ( राम के माता-पिता कहाँ थे।)
How was the doctor. ( डॉक्टर कैसा था।)
Who was the engineer. ( इंजीनियर कौन था।)
Who was a teacher. ( अध्यापक कौन था।)
Where was the student. ( छात्र कहाँ थे।)
Why was my name shyam.( मेरा नाम श्याम क्यों था।)
How was this food. ( यह खाना कैसा था।)

Memorable Points :

1. I, he, she, it, this, that तथा अन्य Singular subjects के साथ was का प्रयोग होता है.

3. Interrogative Sentences बनाने के लिए was/ were को वाक्य के प्रारंभ में लगाया जाता है.

Memorable Points :

1. I, he, she, it, this, that तथा अन्य Singular subjects के साथ was का प्रयोग होता है.

2. We, you, they, these, those तथा अन्य plural pronouns के साथ were का प्रयोग होता है.

3. Interrogative Sentences बनाने के लिएwas/ were को वाक्य के प्रारंभ में लगाया जाता है.

Use of was/were Negative

Memorable Points :

1. I, he, she, it, this, that तथा अन्य Singular subjects के साथ was का प्रयोग होता है.

2. We, you, they, these, those तथा अन्य plural pronouns के साथ were का प्रयोग होता है.

3. Negative sentences बनाने के लिए was/ were के बाद ‘not’ का प्रयोग होता है.

Rule :- Subject + Is/Am/Are + Not + Noun/Adjective/Pronoun

Example :-

This was not fan. ( यह पंखा नही था।)
This was not Coolar. (यह कूलर नहीं था।)
This was not car. (यह कार नहीं थी।)
This was not cycle. (यह साइकिल नहीं थी।)
This was not book. (यह किताब नही थी।)
This was not clothes. (यह कपडा नहीं था।)
This was not chair. (यह कुर्सी नहीं थी।)
This was not tabke. (यह मेज नहीं थी।)
This was not sleeper. (यह चप्पल नहीं थी।)
This was not home. (यह घर नहीं था।)
I was not engineer. (मैं इंजीनियर नहीं था।)
I was not good man.(मैं अच्छा आदमी नहीं था।)
I was not teacher. (मैं अध्यापक नहीं था।)
I was not student. (मैं छात्र नहीं था।)
I was not jobless. (मैं सड़क छाप नही था।)
I was not illiterate. (मैं अनपढ़ नहीं था।)
I was not artist. (मैं आर्टिस्ट नहीं था।)
I was not manager. (मैं मैनेजर नहीं था।)

Is/am/are का जो कार्य present tense में है,वहीं कार्य was/ were का past tense में है.Was/ were का हिंदी में अर्थ ‘था, थी, थे’ होता है.के निम्नलिखित उदाहरणों से इनका प्रयोग समझ में आ जाएगा :
